What data we collect

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies. It collects anonymised, aggregated data such as page views, referrers, and country of origin. No personal data or IP addresses are stored.

Cookies

Room With A Race does not set any cookies. We do not use advertising trackers, social media pixels, or third-party analytics that require cookie consent.

External links

The site contains links to third-party services (Google Maps, Airbnb, Booking.com, Pretty Hotels). When you click these links, you leave Room With A Race and are subject to the privacy policies of those services. We do not receive any data from these third parties.

Hosting

This site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process server logs including IP addresses as part of normal web hosting operations. See Vercel's Privacy Policy for details.

Race waitlist (email collection)

On our Requests page you can join a waitlist to be notified when we add hotel maps for additional races. When you submit your email address:

• Data collected: your email address and the race you requested.
• Purpose: to send you a one-time notification when hotel coverage for that race goes live.
• Legal basis:your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by submitting the form.
• Processor: emails are sent and stored via Resend (Resend, Inc., San Francisco, CA). Data may be processed in the United States under standard contractual clauses.
• Retention: your email is kept until we send the notification or you request deletion, whichever comes first.

Your rights

If you have submitted your email via the waitlist, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, request access to your data, or ask us to delete it. For all other visitors, we do not collect personal data. Contact us at hello@davidsdearest.com or through davidsdearest.com.
